What is an RV Bill of Sale form?
A bill of sale which is specially created for the sale of a Recreational Vehicle or RV is called an RV Bill of Sale form. In effect, it is much the same as a bill of sale for sale or purchase of any other vehicle like a car, motorcycle, etc. However, to distinguish the type of vehicle for which the bill of sale is being drawn up, the word RV is used as a prefix. An RV means a trailer or any other vehicle of similar size which comprises of living space within.
When is an RV Bill of Sale form needed?
In several states, a bill of sale is a legal requirement before the sale of a vehicle can be finalized. However, in other states it is left to the discretion of the buyer and seller. A bill of sale is always recommended in all cases of sale or purchase of a vehicle since it records the terms and conditions of a sale. A bill of sale is beneficial to both the parties as it lays down on paper the actual price to be paid by the buyer along with discharging the seller from any obligation towards the vehicle. This is particularly important in the case of an RV since a vehicle of this type is sold on an ‘as is’ basis.
